Wow, just wow! Touring Vanleigh’s Beacon 42RDB was a joy. We were surprised and pleased with every inch of this rig.

The quality and craftsmanship are unmatched and the layout is brilliant. This raised-rear living room unit offers a spacious living area and one of the slides could easily be converted to an office for Victoria. Although the kitchen is not as large as in other models we toured, it is still big by RV standards. Well-equipped with residential appliances (and even a wine cooler) we could definitely cook, and shoot cooking videos in this kitchen. 

The bathroom and bedroom were spacious and yes, there was a washer and dryer! Oh, and storage, there is so much storage I’m not sure we could ever fill it up. Oh, yeah, never mind, we’ll fill it!

After this tour, we agreed that we could definitely live in this rig. I think we would prefer a lighter decor and Vanleigh does offer choices. The rear-raised kitchen in the Solitude 390RK we toured seemed to suit us better but I can’t get this rear-raised living room out of my head.

On to more tours and soon, a decision!
