Exploring the local scene in the areas we visit is probably our favorite part of full-time RV living. We love “living like a local” wherever we stay, which gives us the opportunity to really connect with the area. During most of our time in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (the UP), Marquette was the town we spend the most time in. We love the lakeshore downtown, the plethora of fish markets, and the warm, friendly Yoopers (residents). The Art of the Rocks event was fun and a terrific way to explore downtown Marquette and spend time with local artisans. The vibe was casual and relaxed, and everyone we spoke to was friendly and welcoming.
