Throughout our RV tour journey, we have exclusively looked at fifth-wheel RVs. We were fairly certain only a fifth wheel would provide us with enough space and the home-like feel we want. Well, we wanted to absolutely certain so we decided we should take a look at a few Class A RVs. And, Rich was hesitant about having a huge dually truck as a daily driver, as will be the case if we choose a fifth wheel.
BV (before Victoria), Rich lived full-time for two years in a Class A in 2005-2007. Although he loved his Class A, he went into this journey heading in the fifth wheel direction, given our lifestyle is different that his lifestyle was back then. But, we had to look. We had to know.
The Tiffin Allegro Open Road 34PA is a great rig. We love the floor plan and can envision the space to create an office for me. The kitchen, however, is, as Rich put it, utilitarian, and in no way big enough for us. Could we make it work, yes? Would we be happy with it, probably not?
We love that the rig has a fireplace and hookups for a washer and dryer. The wraparound bathroom layout was interesting and we felt the bedroom was adequate. All in all, this is a great rig, for someone else. If we were going out on short 2-3 week trips, this rig would be wonderful. But we’re not. Instead, we are living each and every day in it, both working full-time, cooking three meals a day, and shooting cooking videos.
After touring a Class A, we now are certain a fifth-wheel RV will be our choice. But which one? We are closer than ever to making our decision. By mid-November, we will decide and place our order. We are so excited!!!
Thank you for joining us on our journey and we can’t wait to share our decision with you!
