gluten-free | dairy-free
This gluten-free, dairy-free cocktail sauce is what you make when you’re tired of bottled sauces that are more sugar than flavor. It starts with ketchup and a generous amount of horseradish—the source of the real kick—plus a small amount of chili garlic sauce for depth and a splash of fresh lemon juice to pull it all together. Five ingredients, five minutes, better than anything in a jar.
Many bottled cocktail sauces contain unneeded sugar and really lack much depth of flavor. That’s why I make my own!
My cocktail sauce has a LOT of horseradish, so if you don’t want the tang, reduce the amount you add. I don’t tolerate spicy food very well, but a small amount of chili-garlic sauce gives the cocktail sauce depth without too much heat.
